The model processes a task on your phone or computer. Check whether that specific task works offline; other parts of the app may still use the network.
In the cloud
Your request or selected data reaches a server. Check retention, training use, account settings and the availability of deletion controls.
Inside a protected server environment
Encrypted data can be processed in a trusted execution environment under defined policies. This still involves sending data off the device and trusting hardware protections.
Ask five questions: What leaves my device? Where is it processed? How long is it retained? Is it used for training? Can I control or delete it?
